The 70mm fan rotates at a fixed speed of 2600RPM, with power being supplied by a 3-pin fan header. It is not PWM compliant. The extruded aluminum body of the Igloo 7223 Light E heatsink is dead simple. The clip uses a cam to apply the appropriate pressure to the surface of the CPU below.
The extruded aluminum fins are about 32mm high, while the fan is 15mm thick. Each aluminum fin is ~0.5mm thick, and spaced about 1.5mm apart at the edge. The base plate measures 3.0mm thick. The clip is tool free and works with the center lug on socket 939 and AM2 heatsink retention frames.
The machined aluminum based of the Glacialtech Igloo 7223 Light E measures 71x60mm in size, and comes with a pre-applied square of grey thermal compound. The base is good and flat.
