360° view - Spire SPA49B0 heatsink
The Fan:
The 80x80x25mm fan spins at a conservative 2300RPM, which moves about 28CFM of air. The concave fan guard is not as good as the wire variety, but will keep stray wires from entering the blades. The fan draws power from a standard 3-pin motherboard fan header that supports RPM monitoring.

Heatsink Top:
The fan attaches directly to the fan shroud, which wraps around the rest of the heatsink. The arrows here serve no real purpose.

Side A:
The main body of the heatsink is 42mm deep, 69mm tall. The 25mm thick fan makes up the rest of the bulk of this cooler. At the bottom, the copper base plate is 5mm thick, and 64x61mm in size.

Side B:
The aluminum fins are elevated from the copper base about 22mm. Each fin is ~0.4mm thick and spaced 1mm apart. The lower extruded-aluminum section measures 18mm high, with fins 1mm thick spaced 1.7-2.0mm apart. Notice the tool free clip which latches onto all three tabs of the socket A frame.

Heatsink Base:
Sporting a standard sanded finish with a roughness of ~8 microinches, the copper base measures 64 x 61mm in size. It has a the usual 2mm 'socket cam arm' undercut, and in terms of surface flatness, it is very slightly wavy. Lapping isn't required for its respective use as a mainstream cooler, but sufficient thermal compound is certainly required.
