Thermalright SK6+ Heatsink From All Angles
The Fan:

The 60mm Zalman fan sits snugly on this heatsink, and is held in place with two spring wire clips which lock into tabs at the base of the SK6+. Thermaltake also include wire clips for 38mm thick 60mm highspeed fans.

Heatsink Top:
A 7mm wide area runs right through the center of the heatsink for the clip to sit. There are 36 sets of thin copper fins on the SK6+. Each fin measures ~0.4mm thick and roughly 30x22mm in size. The fins each have a small copper fold on the base 1mm in width that allows them to be soldered to the copper base.

Side A:

Looking at the other side you can see the basic fin structure that has gone into making this heatsink. Each fin is identical to another and is stamped from a sheet of copper. The base of the cooler is undercut to provide socket the necessary socket clearances

Side B:
The SK6+ clip requires a tool to engage or remove, and snaps on to all three tabs of the socket A. This method is much better than just using the center tab, as these have been known to break off of the clip force is too strong. Notice the small tabs at either corner for the wire fan clips to lock into.

Heatsink Base:

The base of the Thermalright SK6+ is machined heavily, and while it is remarkably flat from one edge to another, it is not all that smooth. There are machining marks visible on the surface, but at least the bumps are not very significant. Notice the four tabs that the spring clips hook in to at each corner to hold the fan in place. A few minutes of lapping would smooth out any surface irregularities here, but that is not totally necessary.
