Spire SP420B8 Heatsink From All Angles
The Fan:
The 70mm fan measures 25mm thick and sports a seven bladed impeller that runs at a quiet 2500RPM. The fan produces very little noise and draws just 0.08A. The fan connects to the motherboard fan header with standard 3-pin connector and supports RPM monitoring. To keep the fan power cables neat, they have been sleeved in a nylon sock.

Heatsink Top:
There are 44 individual fins which have been connected at the base, and outside edge with small interlocking tabs. The copper fins are all smooth faced, and separated about 1mm apart from one another. The aluminum fan shroud holds the fan 7mm above the copper fins.

Side A:
A decorative stamping in the side of the aluminum fan shroud doubles as a vent for escaping fan exhaust. The indents at the bottom corners are so the heatsink will fit in a standard m478 HSRM.

Side B:
The 44 fins are only about 0.2mm thick, making for little in the way of resistance to airflow. The base is 4mm thick, and 60mm across. The fins are 35mm in height.

Heatsink Base:

The copper base is sanded smooth, and all things considered pretty flat. Use of some good quality thermal compound is always recommended, but always be wary of using too much.
