Evercool NW9F715CA Heatsink From All Angles
The Fan:
The 70mm fan measures 15mm thick and sports an eleven bladed impeller. The fan produces very little noise and draws 0.18A. With a metal wire grill attached to the fan, problems with loose wires getting caught in the blades should be avoided. The fan connects to the motherboard fan header and supports RPM monitoring.

Heatsink Top:
There are a series of six 3mm wide crosscuts on either side of the heatsink which have no doubt been made to improve exhaust airflow within the heatsink. The fins are all smooth faced, and separated about 2mm apart from one another. Each fin is slightly tapered from the bottom to the top.

Side A:
From this side we get a better perspective concerning how this heatsink is actually built. The base rises up from a thickness of 4mm at the edges to over 11mm at the very center. The copper base insert is only 2mm thick, and just over 35mm wide. Fins measure 28mm tall on average, and are just under 1mm thick at the center (they taper).

Side B:
The clip mechanism which is used to lock onto the HSRM is simple and pretty effective. Each corner has a small tab which locks into the plastic tab to hold the NW9F715CA firmly in place. The force is applied to the outside edges of the heatsink so if the P4 is not positioned squarely in the center of the HSRM there is a chance the heatsink may sit crooked.

Heatsink Base:

The copper portion of the base measures just 69x35mm in size, and is 3mm thick. The copper insert is soldered in place so the interface should be pretty decent as opposed to white silicon compound or thermal epoxy. The base itself has a sanded finish and is fairly smooth and flat. A good amount of thermal interface compound between the processor and heatsink is recommended.
