Neng Tyi K614 Full-Copper Heatsink Review
Long
before the Thermalright SK6 made itself known as one of the most
discriminating performance coolers on the market, the all copper Neng Tyi K614
was there. Of the same level it is not, but the K614 does posses some bright possibilities by the looks of it. Since both coolers have copper bases and fins one might be mistaken for thinking a challenge would be possible. What makes this improbable is that the differences between the two coolers are on a fundamental level - the number of fins and how they are attached to the base of the cooler - the greatest possible point of weakness.
Where the SK6 uses a solder
approach, the K614 appears to use a thermal adhesive. With its' relatively small
size and limiting 18-fin design, is the K614 still in the running to be a viable
option for cooling today's fastest processors?
