Neng Tyi KA06 Cu-Al Heatsink Review

Neng Tyi are well known for their distinctive heatsink construction methods. By using simple components like a copper base plate and mechanically joined ins they have managed to assemble an entire family of heatsinks. The KA06 follows in those footsteps with its copper base and 24 aluminum fins.

An outer frame of thicker aluminum plate provides the means for the Nidec fan to be attached and keep the aluminum fins in place. The fins are formed in such a way that they are all interlocked with one another. This process keeps them in place and allows for the spacing to be on the order of 2mm, instead of something larger (as with bonded fin designs).
