Tocools Novasonic-AlCu Heatsink From All Angles
The Fan: The Delta fan used here is 80mm in size and protected by a fan grill. The fan draws 0.51A and rotates at around 4500RPM.The fan connects to the motherboard via a standard three-pin motherboard fan header. There is just 1.5mm of clearance below the fan, and above the square tips of the fins.

Heatsink Top:
With 23 fins machined from a solid block of aluminum, the heatsink has less surface area than a traditional heatsink would typically. Each fin measures 1mm thick, and is spaced 2mm apart from one another. The interesting part of this heatsink lies below the metal clip of course....

Side A:
The clip Tocools use is sufficient, but not the easiest to use seeing as you will need a screwdriver to engage or release it. The clip is recessed into the body of the heatsink because it is wider than the Socket A platform. From this angle you can see the steps in the outer fins we mentioned previously. At the center of the heatsink the base is 20mm thick. At the outer edges it tapers down to just 1mm thick. The triangular copper insert measures 15mm tall at the center, with a base 44mm across.

Side B:
The side profile of the Novasonic-AlCu shows off a series of three crosscuts in the side of all the fins. A set of spring clips are used to hold the fan in place on top of the heatsink.

Heatsink Base:

An area of the base has been cut away 2mm to allow clearance for the socket A cam arm. The base of the heatsink is very nicely machined, though there are some very slim gaps visible around the outer edges of the copper which may indicate that the solder has not flowed completely between the two surfaces. The base finish is smooth and very flat.
